French language credentials
Anne has been bilingual in French and English since childhood. She attended a French primary school near Fontainebleau, returned to England for secondary schooling and then studied French Literature at Grenoble University. She joined the Translation Dept. of SOGREAH, an international hydrological research firm in Grenoble as a bilingual secretary/translator and on her return to London became a bilingual secretary in the Cultural Service at the French Embassy. Fourteen months later she returned to Europe to work in the Austrian Alps (as Ski Club of GB representative and ski-instructor in two Austrian Ski Schools), in Norway as a linguist guide (using English, French & German) and then to the Canadian Rockies for a year and a half. In 1972 she returned to England to train as a teacher. This she has done for the past thirty years.
Now teaching part-time, Anne is able to offer her French language competency and long experience of France and French life to assist those wishing to do business /enjoy leisure activities with French speakers. She currently translates/interprets for companies and individuals in the boat and holiday industry.
